Once you step into our ground-floor vacation rental, you will see how thoughtfully designed for comfort and relaxation is! It is perfect for families or groups of up to six. Enjoy vacationing on the first floor where you can step out onto the patio and walk directly out of our vacation rental allowing for beach trips and pool access easy and convenient.

Living Room & Patio Access: Enjoy our living area, where a plush couch that offers a chaise lounge inviting you to kick back and enjoy your favorite movie or catch the big game on the large flat-screen TV. The couch also converts to a queen sleeper sofa, adding additional sleeping arrangements for your vacation. Slide open the doors to your private patio, easy access to the beach, the pool and the grilling area—the ideal place to savor fresh air and relaxation right at your doorstep.

Fully Equipped Kitchen: The beautifully updated kitchen with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and all the essentials you will need to inspire meal preparations during your vacation. Make your morning coffee in the Keurig before you watch the sunrise. The dining table, which seats six, connects the kitchen and living space, making mealtime a breeze in this open layout.

Bedrooms: The master bedroom features a king-size bed with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with a convenient tub/shower combo. The guest bedroom has two twin beds and its own flat-screen TV, with easy access to the guest bathroom, also equipped with a tub/shower combo.

Complimentary Beach Service: Enjoy relaxing on the beach where you’ll have access to (2) beach chairs and an umbrella, (stays 14 days or less) perfect for soaking up the sun and enjoying the stunning Gulf views while on your vacation getaway.

Amenities: At The Islander Resort in Destin, Florida, you can enjoy an active and fun-filled Destin vacation with access to two pools (1-Seasonally Heated), (4) pickleball courts, (2) tennis courts, a half basketball court, and (2) shuffleboard courts. Complimentary equipment is available for checkout at the front desk, making it easy to stay engaged during your stay.

Fitness Center & Grilling Area: The fitness center, located next to the lobby just a short stroll away! What a great way to keep up with your workout routine while you are on vacation in Destin. For those looking to savor the fresh catch of the day or grill some delicious burgers, the pavilion and gazebo are equipped with several charcoal grills for guest use.

Children Vacation Activities: During the summer season, we offer a variety of vacation activities for children, ensuring a memorable family vacation experience.   We rented a condo Unit (116) for a week at the Islander. The Unit was updated with granite countertops and appliances and very clean inside. The A/C worked great and was keeping up with the hot temperatures. We already booked another week trip. The Unit was also convenient because it was located on the first floor by the pool and BBQ station easy walking distance. The Islander employees were working in the morning spraying down the sidewalks and both pool areas. The staff was great.

  Although our “platinum” room could have been a little cleaner upon arrival, and I would consider it more of a “gold” rating, we had a great trip! My husband and I came down with our 2 year-old son and my husband’s parents. We loved sunset dinners at Louisiana Lagniappe, which was very close by. Bric a Brac and La Paz were also good nearby dinner options. We could see the Thursday night air show from the pool and we’re able to view the fireworks from the beach. The jetty is a short walk down the beach for beautiful snorkeling! We saw so many pretty fish! We loved the gorgeous white sugar sand beach, and the beach attendant, Alan, is so friendly and helpful! We were lucky enough to see a few dolphins from afar as well. Overall the property is pretty well-maintained and fairly clean, but it is definitely starting to show signs of aging/wear and tear. Our room was overpriced for what it was in my opinion (at $2800/wk), but we did all enjoy ourselves.

  We always choose The Islander forour extended family vacations. We get condos near each other. Each family gets their own space, and we gather together at the beach, pool and pavilion. The condos, with 2 bedrooms plus a pullout couch, and 2 full baths easily accommodated our family of five. Our particular condo was beautiful, well appointed and clean. Lots of extra towels and towel exchange twice a week. Each unit receives 2 beach chairs and an umbrella, set up by an extremely friendly young man. The beach was gorgeous - powder white sand was never hot, water was crystal blue with enough waves to be fun but not dangerous. We will be back!
