This beach front vacation condo rental is located in Destin Florida along the Emerald Coast. Condo rental #517 accommodates up to 6 people with a king in the master bedroom, King in the guest bedroom, and a sleeper sofa in the living room. Destin's Beach is just steps away with a beautiful view from your private balcony. All units are non-smoking.
Condo 517 has been completely remodeled in 2016, with new large tile throughout the living areas, and quartz counter-tops and stainless steel appliances installed in the kitchen. The living room features new furniture, decor and artwork. All rooms have new ceiling fans. The living room (52") and both bedrooms (32") include new Roku smart TV'S. Master bedroom has a new mattress, plantation shutters, bedding and decor. The guest bedroom has new bedding and plantation shutters. Best of all, this unit has a WASHER/DRYER installed in the master bathroom.

  Unit # 517 was a great unit! Well decorated, comfortable furniture and master bed. Would be nice to have detailed instructions for operating the TV upon arrival. Refrigerator developed a leak and should be repaired or replaced.

  This was our first vacation in Destin since up till now we were staying in Panama City Beach. This condo here at The Islander was much more spacious and very well-kept compared to what we had experienced until now. We really liked the gated private parking and how the exterior grounds and pool area was kept extremely clean. The staff was also very professional and helpful. We really liked the location of the condo and the beach was not as crowded as we anticipated. I would encourage anyone who is wanting to book a vacation in Destin to check out The Islander because I think you will be very pleased with your stay.

  My stay at the Islander Resort in Destin, Florida was exceptional. I made a last minute reservation in February for a week stay in March. I had a brother staying at the same resort and I was able to reserve a unit on the same floor. The unit was clean and very comfortable with kitchen and shower amenities that were exceptional. The property management responded immediately and professionally whenever I had a question. The sunsets from my 5th floor balcony were superb. With this unit toward the end of the floor units the privacy and quiet were truly appreciated. I want to rent this unit again. How do I proceed for next year?

  Unit 517 was excellent, as was the whole Islander Resort. The unit was clean and comfortable. It was great having the washer/dryer in the unit to do laundry in the evening without leaving our room. The shower in the master bedroom was very nice. The walk down to the beach was easy and not too far. The staff was pleasant and professional. I like the resort's location being off the main thoroughfare; it seemed to be in a nice and quiet neighborhood.
  
  We did have an issue on the first night that was beyond management's control as it was caused by other guests. I only bring this up to brag on the staff who quickly took care of a very difficult situation, and the rest of our stay was without issue. The guests in the neighboring unit were extremely loud and causing a disturbance, but they seemed to be an a-typical guess as the rest of the stay was quiet and peaceful.

  The decor was very nice overall. There is a need to deep clean the furniture or maybe re-cover it. If the cable doesn’t work or the drains don’t drain, call downstairs. They will help you. Only real negative was the dryer takes 3 hours to dry one medium load of laundry (no exaggeration). The kitchen has better pans/etc. than any other condo here. The view is amazing with the boats coming in and out. Don’t forget to watch the Thursday night fireworks from the balcony!!

  As usual we had an amazing family vacation to Destin while staying at The Islander. This was our second stay at The Islander and we have recommended it to many others. The location is spot on, just steps from the white sand beach. My children (5 years old and 3 years old) also enjoy the pools. Both units we’ve stayed in have been incredibly clean and well maintained. I appreciate the quietness of the location with the ease of access to all restaurants, shops, etc. Unit 517 allowed us perfect viewing from the balcony for the Thursday night fireworks at the Harbor.

  This was mine and my wife’s first trip to Destin. We stayed at the Islander on the recommendation of my niece, who was married in Destin and stayed at the Islander. We were NOT disappointed!
  The unit was exceptionally clean, it was very nice to have a washer and dryer, and the pools and grounds were immaculate.
  The private beach and complimentary beach chairs with an umbrella were a definite plus! We spent most of our time on the beach looking out at the emerald ocean.

  This was our first time to Destin, and we loved it. The area had everything, grocery stores, restaurants, shopping, fishing, mini golf. The resort was off the main strip which we liked. It was in a quieter area, still on the ocean. The water is beautiful and the resort was very nice. Well landscaped and clean. Both pools were clean and nice and not super busy. There is a nice grilling area also. We would defiantly go back!
