  Our 2nd vacation at the Islander and it was awesome as the 1st. Our property was clean and well maintained throughout our stay. Had a couple of minor issues with the TV and kitchen faucet, that were taken care of immediately.We ate out only once as the kitchen was fantastic and fully functional. Our favorite amenity was the complimentary beach chairs and umbrella every day. We just put our towels on the chairs in the morning, which would reserve the chairs and umbrella for the day! Alan the beach attendant would help us with our wagon, getting it to our chairs and when we left at the end of the day. I lost a speaker on the beach that he recovered and gave it to us the next day! Stores and grocery were only 1 mile away. It is easy access to the Islander as it is on a No Outlet street. I would recommend The Islander to friends and family!!!

  Being on the 7th floor provided the best view of the Gulf both from the balcony and from the master bedroom. Checking in and out was easy and the staff pleasant. The unit was clean and plenty of linens were available. Access to the beach was close as was access to the pools and hot tub.   This was our 2nd winter staying at the Islander. The location at the end of Gulf Shores Drive is beautiful with morning walks on the beach, and capturing the sunsets at night. The staff at the complex does an excellent job and they were always willing to assist you with anything that you might need. The Snowbird organization made our stay fun and eventful with pickleball each morning, pool activities every afternoon, and cards, darts, or Happy Hour events each evening. The special events and parties were great fun (Mardi Gras and cookouts with live music). The camaraderie and friendship of the other residents made our stay very memorable. We are looking forward to coming back again next year to catch up with our new friends and establish new traditions. Thanks to all for a great winter getaway.

  Loved the view and the condo was very clean. Beds were very comfortable which you don't always get in VRBO's.
  Pool and hot tub were great and enjoyed the umbrella seating on the beach.
  You do need to bring all food items as there is not even salt and pepper. Bring your own beach towels if they say there are some, I did not see any. We would definitely go back here! Best part of our trip was a pontoon ride on Crab Island Dolphin Tours, we only had time to book a two hour ride but Captain Josh made it a great experience and next time we will do a full day. Super great guy and full of knowledge on Destin.

  We went this unit several times a year for the past four years we love it!! Just wish They have some folding chairs to take down to the ocean that would be perfect. We do get chairs and umbrella but I like the little ones that you can take down to the water and sit in I might purchase some myself and leave there. Cleanliness of the resort lobby and elevators I have seen it better but I do understand it’s hard to keep help right now. Kindle from the front desk is amazing!! Some of the others need a little work. But I highly recommend the Islander condos

  This Unit was all we thought it would be! Every glace to the ocean we saw a dolphin! The overall management was amazing! Wayne was very helpful! I would recommend a K cup coffee maker for convivence and softer throw blankets. One of the blankets felt like a foam material. The location was very coinvent to all the places we went to.   This is our second straight year in Unit 704, and we already booked again for next year! We like being on the top floor to get the best view of the pool and beach. Since last year, they completely remodeled the kitchen and both bathrooms, and gave everything a fresh coat of paint. The new colors and counter tops make a huge difference! Very updated look! We also took advantage of almost all the optional leisure activities the Islander offers, such as Yoga classes, Aerobics classes, Water aerobics, Mardi Gras Party, and other group parties. All the Islander staff and Snow Bird residents are fun and super friendly. We made many friends and look forward to seeing everyone next year.
  The only suggestion I would make for the condo is to replace the carpet in the Master bedroom. It is stained and worn. I think the remodel and fresh paint makes the carpet stand out more as being very tired. Also could use a nicer area rug in the living room on top of the tile floor, but not as pressing as the bedroom carpet. The couches are a little worn but are comfortable. Will probably need replaced in the next year. The bed was so comfortable... we slept better than ever!

  We been staying at the Islander for the past five years we have found condo 704 to be Absolutely inviting!! The grounds are very well kept everyone is warm and inviting especially Alan down at the beach!! That’s OK baby could smile a little bit more and greet people as they walk by it other than that I recommend the Islander and especially room 704 we just finished up a 10 day trip and I will be returning to condo 704 in 10 day!!

  We loved the top floor location and the wonderful views of the water. We could see dolphins playing right out in front of us.
  The tile flooring is nice, but the living room rug is clean, but could stand to be replaced with something a little more attractive to give the living room a better aesthetic. The living room furniture was comfortable and in good condition, but the room needs something visually to make it pop a little more. The bedspread in the Master could also be updated... it is a little worn looking. But the bed was very comfortable and we slept well all week. The kitchen was very well stocked and we had everything we needed at our fingertips.
