Look no further, Islander Condo #514 is PARADISE with an updated, modern, and inviting floor plan with unbelievable sunset, lake, Destin Pass, and Gulf views from your private balcony. This Platinum Plus Unit sleeps up to 6 people (king in the master, queen in guest, and king sleeper sofa in living room) and has every amenity to make this your home-away-from-home, including your own new WASHER/DRYER in the master bathroom. Destin's Beach, your choice of two pools, hot tubs, grills, and outdoor games are just steps away. Our beach is private and only accessed through Islander wrist bands. This means no struggling for parking and plenty of beach space. Also, no need to lug chairs as 2 beach chairs and an umbrella are complementary!

The renovated kitchen has new cabinets and granite countertops, and one of the few units with the fridge against the outside wall—giving an open view to Lake Christina, Destin Pass, and the Gulf. The kitchen has all you need to prepare amazing meals. The dining room table seats 6. Relax in the open and comfy living area with new furniture and a new 65” Smart TV (with a Streaming Blue Ray Player and digital cable access). The new sleeper sofa is extremely comfortable, as is the swivel rocker to watch TV, gaze at the ocean, or watch the boats go by in Destin Pass.

The updated master bedroom boasts a modern king size bed, comfortable mattress/bedding, plantation shutters, and a new 55” Smart TV and cable. The bathroom has a new vanity with granite countertops, LED lighted mirror, and a walk-in shower, as well as a new WASHER/DRYER. The guest bedroom has a comfy queen bed, as well as a 55” Smart TV and cable. The guest bathroom was updated with a new vanity, LED lighted mirror, and new bath/shower.

Venture out to the private balcony and view the boats entering and leaving the harbor through the Destin Pass, one of our breathtaking sunsets, and weekly fireworks from Destin Harbor.

  The stay and facilities were great, but because I had an emergency at home we had to leave over a week, 9 days early. I asked the staff if I could receive a small refund, for the 9 days I was told "NO". I could understand if I left 1 or 2 days but leaving 9 days
  early there should a 25% refund. I know they put the unit available to rent. Please consider making some type consideration for anyone leaving a 7 days or more early because an emergency.

  I was very satisfied with this rental. It was comfortable and clean. The decor was very modern. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed. The property was very well maintained and the staff friendly. Having the beach chairs included was a huge bonus. I brought my 2 teenage sons for Spring Break and we all had a great, relaxing vacation. Only complaint is the basketball goal is very old and broken down, but that is a property issue and does not reflect on the condo itself

It was the first condo in Destin where we have stayed that was not beachfront, so we were a bit uncertain, however this is now our favorite!   We had a wonderful experience,but there was 1 issue. Unit 514 was exactly as described with a modern theme. Beds were comfortable (master was very low to floor), bathrooms were functional and updated. So the issue, was sealed concrete floors were very dirty. After only walking between kitchen and master bedroom my feet were black! This required wearing sandals or shoes the entire time,even when getting up in night to use the restroom. We had excess linen at our disposal. Location was excellent since it’s located on the quiet side off from highway 98.

If there was any down side, it was the fact that the beach was very crowded and small.

  We loved everything! The condo was clean and great for my 4 and 6 year old. We loved the view from our balcony - the sunsets were great and we got to see fireworks display taking place at the harbor without having to leave the property. I emailed the owner prior to booking with questions about location to the beach - it was as close as they described! I would highly recommend this property to family and friends - we want to come back! We went to the harbor, a bunch of restaurants Landsharks was a favorite - pizza/bar - great to bring the kids to. The pirate ship cruise is a must if you have kids! Mine loved it! I would return here every year if I could! I did have an issue with one front desk employee - I didn't catch her name but each time I dealt with her she had the attitude of "I'm only here because they pay me" not very helpful, more like one word answers - she just didn't seem like the most cheerful or helpful. I dealt with her on three occasions over a few days, so it wasn't like she was just having a bad day, more like a bad week. The rest of the staff was great! Helpful, giving suggestions on things to do, restaurant recommendations, etc...Checking in and out were a breeze - they were very busy when we arrived but were quick to notice me and greet me. Overall a great experience!

  I really liked the placement of the condo - did see some of the Gulf but also the Sunsets, condo was well equipped.The only thing I was not happy with is the couch/loveseat was very uncomfortable with no ends to the couch and how low the furniture was to the ground. Loved the pool and all the BBQ stuff. Really surprised they did not have gas pits but ok
