Complimentary Beach Service is provided from March 1 to Oct 31. As a guest at The Islander, you can enjoy (2) complimentary beach chairs and (1) umbrella, each day of your stay! (Valid for stays 14 days or less)

Amenities: At The Islander Resort in Destin, Florida, you can enjoy an active and fun-filled Destin vacation with access to two pools (1-Seasonally Heated), (4) pickleball courts, (2) tennis courts, a half basketball court, and two shuffleboard courts. Complimentary equipment is available for checkout at the front desk, making it easy to stay engaged during your stay.

Fitness Center & Grilling Area: Located next to the lobby just a short stroll away! What a great way to keep up with your workout routine while you are on vacation in Destin. For those looking to savor the fresh catch of the day or grill some delicious burgers, the pavilion and gazebo are equipped with several charcoal grills for guest use.

Children Activities: During the summer season, we offer a variety of vacation activities for children, ensuring a memorable family vacation experience. Enjoy fun options like glitter tattoos, crafts, dive-in movie nights by the pool, beach painting sessions, and live music around the pool.

NOTE: Washer & Dryers are NOT provided in every vacation rental; However, Coin Operated washer & dryers are located on premises!

Rules: For a comfortable stay, please note the following guidelines! Smoking is not allowed inside the units or on the patio; however, designated smoking areas are provided for your convenience. We kindly ask that no pets accompany you during your visit. Each unit accommodates a maximum of 6 guests to ensure everyone enjoys their space. An initial supply of paper towels, toiletries, and trash bags is included in the rental. Once these supplies are used, guests will need to restock for the remainder of their stay.

  We had a great time staying at the Islander. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean. We had a little trouble opening and closing the kitchen drawer to get spoons, forks etc. The beds in the guest room could be replaced. They were a little soft and lumpy.

  Unit 503 was delightful! Clean and updated amenities, other than the dining chair cushions which were easily removed. Unit 501 needs some detail work and new furniture.
  Doing laundry was tough with only 2 out of 5 washing machines working.

  The rental experience went smoothly. The unit had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Really like the location and amenities available at the Islander. It would be nice to have some extra beach chairs available in the unit to use since we like to hang out on the beach after the beach service ends for the day or if we have guests staying in the unit with us. The only problem we have encountered not just on this stay but on two other trips is that people smoke out on the balconies even though smoking isn't supposed to be allowed and we have heard dogs barking in units when pets aren't supposed to be allowed. We have reported these things when they have occurred but not sure anything is done about it since it is difficult to know which units the smoking comes from. As a non-smoker it really ruins my time on my balcony when people don't obey the rules.

  Nice condo with a great view. We were not able to use the beach directly in front of us for 2 of the days. Not the condos fault, dredging the channel but would have been nice to know prior to renting. The condo was clean and well kept. Master bedroom mattress and pillows could use replaced. The complimentary beach chairs (2) and umbrella were great! The only downside to this condo vs the others we have stayed at in Destin was that there was not a washer and dryer inside the condo. All together for the price, you can’t go wrong with the Islander!

  The unit was very nice and clean. The bathrooms are outdated, but still clean. Also the furniture and bedding in the bedrooms was outdated. The unit was very spacious for 2 adults and 3 kids to spread out. Being on the 5th floor we had a beautiful view of the ocean from our balcony. Also the unit was on the end, so only neighbors on one side. The staff was friendly. Being here in March, it was great that the pool was heated! Would definitely stay at The Islander again and rent this unit again.

  The only thing between us and the ocean was a swimming pool! The view was great. We were on the 5th floor and on the furthest end from the elevator. We ended up taking the stairs a lot because we were closer to the stairs. I’d like to stay closer the the elevator next time but not a big deal. The beds were not that comfortable. Overall, the condo was beautiful. Bring coffee stuff, including filters if you’re a coffee drinker. The customer service was outstanding!

  Great condo. Very clean and updated. Beds were soft and easy access to stairs which is nice. No noise in the evening due to being at the end. Will be back next year.
