Unit 417 is recently renovated with a master bath and walk in shower, granite counter tops throughout, 3 flat screen TV'S, CD system with IPOD docking and charger, linens and all the kitchen essentials. You can sleep 6, with a king size in the master 24' TV, Bunk bed with queen at bottom and full on top in the guest, and a queen sized sofa bed in the great room 32' TV.   We’ve been coming to the Islander for 24 years and it’s always great! 417 is one of our favorite rooms. It’s so beautifully decorated and has a beautiful jetty view from which you can watch the sunset. It’s also quiet and peaceful on that end. The king size bed in the master bedroom is VERY VERY comfortable. My husband and I slept better here than we do at home!😊The room was so very clean, as always. The staff is always friendly and helpful We will definitely be back!

  Out of 7 days, 4 were Rain all day. We have been here many times. Sooo, we know where all the antique shops are. We stayed busy shopping and eating until MR. SUN decided to visit. Then, BAM! Then tanning began. Room 417 was just the way we like it. Only thing that I remember which caused concern was the handle on the walk-in shower was not secure. Will return for sure!

  Nice condo on a beautiful beach. We enjoyed our two weeks at this condo. The property is well maintained and the management staff was very helpful with our needs--understanding how to use the television (aim the remote at the corner cabinet), fixing the sink stopper in the bathroom, and replacing the canopener that did not work. I highly recommend staying at the Islander. Only wish we could have spent more time there.

  We had a wonderful time and our unit was very nice. However, we had to call for assistance twice on how to turn on our TV - there were no instructions. The placement of the bed/furniture in the guest room is not good. If two people are sleeping on the bottom bunk the one sleeping next to the wall has to crawl over the other person to get out. The bed needs to be turned so that both peope can get in & out of the bed without crawling all over each other. It also needs two night stands & two lights on each side of the bed.

  This was our first stay in Destin in 20 years. The town has really grown up. Lots of traffic, very crowded on 98. Islander is secluded from all that noise and crowds. It's relatively quiet. My only caveat is if you plan to get groceries and eat in, do it early, on the way in if possible. It's just too crowded out there and you're not going to want to leave Islander. So, the access to the beach is a very short walk along the walkway, and there is a ramp for sand buggies and wagons. Showers are at the pool for washing sand off when you come back in. The kitchen was a little small for me, not very comfortable for doing anything more than breakfast and a sandwich for lunch. But it was sufficient if you keep your meals simple. The rooms had space. The patio balcony was a nice size where all four of us could sit out there without feeling cramped. The living room was a good size too.

  The room is nice and clean. Very close to the stairs if you don’t mind walking 4 flights. The room had everything we needed for our stay. Great views of the pass not so much of the open ocean. But I knew that from the description of the room. The king size bed wasn’t that comfortable but it worked. The property management was super nice and was very professional. I will definitely be going back.
