Complimentary Beach Service is provided from March 1 to Oct 31. As a guest at The Islander, you can enjoy (2) complimentary beach chairs and (1) umbrella, each day of your stay! (Valid for stays 14 days or less)

Amenities: At The Islander Resort in Destin, Florida, you can enjoy an active and fun-filled Destin vacation with access to two pools (1-Seasonally Heated), (4) pickleball courts, (2) tennis courts, a half basketball court, and two shuffleboard courts. Complimentary equipment is available for checkout at the front desk, making it easy to stay engaged during your stay.

Fitness Center & Grilling Area: The fitness center, is located next to the lobby just a short stroll away! What a great way to keep up with your workout routine while you are on vacation in Destin. For those looking to savor the fresh catch of the day or grill some delicious burgers, the pavilion and gazebo are equipped with several charcoal grills for guest use.

Children Vacation Activities: During the summer season, we offer a variety of vacation activities for children, ensuring a memorable family vacation experience. NOTE: Washer & Dryers are NOT provided in every vacation rental; However, Coin Operated washer & dryers are located on premises!

Rules: Smoking is not allowed inside the units or on the patio; however, designated smoking areas are provided for your convenience. We kindly ask that no pets accompany you during your visit. Each unit accommodates a maximum of 6 guests to ensure everyone enjoys their space. An initial supply of paper towels, toiletries, and trash bags is included in the rental. Once these supplies are used, guests will need to restock for the remainder of their stay.

  The islander and staff are very nice. We've stayed several times and usually enjoy ourselves. However this year the MBR mattress was terrible. It was so worn out that we could feel the springs and would wake up several times during the night sore. If you're charging platinum rates, then you should have a decent mattress.

  One of the elevators was out of service our entire stay. This made for lengthy waits getting in and out of the building. Our unit was comfortable, the bathrooms were spotless, but the floors could have been cleaner. Overall we had a good stay.

  I was a bit afraid to rent here because the condos aren't directly on the beach and because of the reviews of the long walk to the beach... But the walk was nothing! This condo has a great view, great location, was super clean, and they even had some games there we could play. Everything was as described. Our only complaint was with the building itself and not this particular condo - the elevator was not working the entire week we were there and this caused LOTS of waiting around to get up and down.

  I was happy with everything. The only minor detail I would mention is that on the website, the spare bedroom looks like it has two queen beds in it and they were twin beds. The twin beds were not comfortable and very noisy when you changed positions. The condo itself is beautiful and has a wonderful view. We really enjoyed our stay very much.

  We had a lovely week end stay at the islander. Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful and the resort grounds were well maintained. It was our first time in Destin and I must say I was pleasantly surprised, there was a lot to do with many shops and restaurants. We will definitely come back to Destin and we will definitely stay at the islander.

  This was our first time back to The Islander in probably 15 years. The condo we stayed in has been updated and is beautiful inside. Great location. Our air went out mid week but was fixed the same day. Ice machine wasn't working but not an issue as we had bagged ice. Everything else was wonderful. The umbrella/chair set up was very handy. First come, first served which was an experience on 4th of July week as it was very crowded but we managed just fine.

  It was amazing, this is the second time we've stayed there. The distance to the ocean is great, the pools on the property are really nice and kept clean, They are a little small for as busy as it is there, sometimes hard to get a chair and pools are busy. The staff was really nice. Our condo was really updated and nice but I feel like it was not as clean this time. When we checked in our kitchen was dirty, stains on the wall and pantry doors, a mess in the corner of the floor and cabinets which I went down to see if they'd come back and clean and nobody ever did, looked like previous renters spilled something and didn't clean it up. But that was my only complaint. It's in a good location to town but just far enough away to. The only thing lacking is a tiki bar/snack bar, something to grab a drink or snack during the day when your just lounging.
