The Islander in Destin, Florida located on Holiday Isle

Complimentary Beach Service is provided from March 1 to Oct 31. As a guest at The Islander, you can enjoy (2) complimentary beach chairs and (1) umbrella, each day of your stay! (Valid for stays 14 days or less)

Amenities: At The Islander Resort in Destin, Florida, you can enjoy an active and fun-filled Destin vacation with access to two pools (1-Seasonally Heated), four pickleball courts, two tennis courts, a half basketball court, and two shuffleboard courts. Complimentary equipment is available for checkout at the front desk, making it easy to stay engaged during your stay.

Fitness Center & Grilling Area: The fitness center, conveniently located next to the lobby just a short stroll away! What a great way to keep up with your workout routine while you are on vacation in Destin. For those looking to savor the fresh catch of the day or grill some delicious burgers, the pavilion and gazebo are equipped with several charcoal grills for guest use.

Children Vacation Activities: During the summer season, we offer a variety of vacation activities for children, ensuring a memorable family vacation experience. Enjoy fun options like glitter tattoos, crafts, dive-in movie nights by the pool, beach painting sessions, and live music around the pool.

Additional Rules per Management: For a comfortable stay, please note the following guidelines! Smoking is not allowed inside the units or on the patio; however, designated smoking areas are provided for your convenience. We kindly ask that no pets accompany you during your visit. Each unit accommodates a maximum of 6 guests to ensure everyone enjoys their space. An initial supply of paper towels, toiletries, and trash bags is included in the rental. Once these supplies are used, guests will need to restock for the remainder of their stay. Please note Washer & Dryers are not available unless specified!

  We absolutely loved our stay at Unit 109!! From the location to the updates throughout the entire condo- I can’t say enough about it! Unit 109 was not only updated beautifully (kitchen, both baths, etc) and decorated perfectly! It was very clean, beds were so comfortable - we truly felt like we were at home. As a family of 6 with four children ranging 13-5, being located on the first floor is huge plus for us. It’s so nice & convenient having a view of the pool from your patio. They even provided family games, cards, and books for those rainy days too! Don’t hesitate booking this- we can’t wait to go back!

  The stay was great except for the weather. The tenants above us were throwing trash in front of our patio daily. They also made a lot of noise thru the night.I complained to the front desk but it didnt help. Someone did pick the trash up.

  Start to finish the communication and staff effort was very good. The facility was in good shape.
  Our unit was a little "tired" with paint missing in the guest bathroom and just generally needed a repaint.
  The dish washer was very loud, but worked fine as did the other appliances.
  The pots and pans were warped and needed replacement.
  We LOVED the linen and towel exchange! And the ladies there were SO helpful and pleasant.
  Overall it was a very good experience and we'll be back next year!

  We came to Islander for a vacation with friends, during the Pandemic. It was the perfect get away....perfect location. We loved being on the ground floor. Couldn't see the beach from the ground floor, but that was ok. We were at the beach every day. It was just a quick walk out to the sand. The only thing we wished it had was a washer and dryer. Every unit should be equipped with one. We didn't think we would need one, but with wet towels...YES!

Located right on the beach, with great beach attendants. Our condo was clean, but the blanket on one of the beds was dirty. Otherwise our stay was wonderful. Front desk help was amazing and Allen, the attendant on the beach, was awesome!!

  This unit is so comfortable and has all the convenience for four people. We have stayed there for almost 30 years. The only complaint I have is the small shower head in the guest bathroom and the TV system in this unit. No instructions available and we had to get help from the office.

  Alan whom worked Beach service is awesome ! Took care of our beach needs a the whole week Day he was off we missed him! Check in girl extremely friendly !
  Elevators extremely hot! Electricity went out! Unit 109 master bathroom shower started spraying water out of nozel! Old bathtubs showers ! Industrial washer machine had been broken for several weeks! Pots and pans need to be non stick! Thank goodness we brought our own! Great location beautiful beaches. I'd stay again just not in unit 109 have to be better bathrooms !
  Mattress was comfortable not the pull out sofa . Unit needs small vacuum n bathroom cleaner for a 7 night stay I'll keep in mind bring toilet bowl cleaner disinfectant.
  If reminded the Islander yet wouldn't suggest elevator ride and rent platinum unit !

  There areaa lot of little things that need to be corrected in the Condo. No telephone instrutions, no TV instructions, blinds were broken, had to open by hand. Lamp on long table did not work. Shower heads are terrible. They need to be larger. Loved the new locks on the doors. Clerks at check in and check were wonderful We have stayed here for many years and love this place. Just needs to be a few updates to this condo. We will be back next years. Love it.
