  Our rental was exactly as pictured. It was clean well stocked. Our only issue was a rather strange smell in the unit upon arrival that lingered for the first few days. The pool area, pickleball courts, shuffleboard courts, exercise room, and all other public areas were well maintained. The beach chairs and umbrellas were always set up and ready for use (Thanks, Alan). The staff was quick and friendly. Even with the unusually cold weather for mid-March, we had an amazing time.

  We thoroughly enjoy spending our snowbird winter at the Islander!
  We love the location on Gulf Shore Drive, a block from 98 which is very busy. Our unit is always clean when we arrive. The Islander staff is friendly and maintenance issues are handled promptly. We love the year-round heated pool, activities sponsored by the Snowbirds, opportunities for walking on sidewalks or the beach and the positive attitudes of our fellow guests.   Had a great stay. Some recommendations for this room are: receptacles on either side of the bed in the master bedroom need to be fixed. Also ceiling fans would be nice in the master bedroom and living room area.

  This was our third Spring Break in Destin at the Islander. We love it! The weather was beautiful, the room was great, and the pools were perfect! We found our now favorite restaurant, Crackings, this year. We will definitely be back again next year.

  We rented 106 & 107 and they were both great rooms.
  The only complaint this year we had, was the swimming pool water was so hot. The pool is usually awesome but for some reason the water was like the hot tub.

  The Islander is a very nice place to stay. Hospitality was great. Our condo was not the cleanest as far as there was some dirt and dust in the corners, by the appliances and toilets. The main areas were decently cleaned. Laundry room could have more washers and dryers. Some were not working well and could also use an upgrade. A change machine in there would also be helpful. Overall a fun experience!
