This beach front vacation condo rental is located in Destin, Florida along the Emerald Coast. Stroll on the white sand beach, swim in the clear, blue Gulf, or relax on your private balcony with spectacular views. Your rental includes free beach service, free Wi Fi, two pools and hot tubs, tennis courts, barbecue grills, and quick access to restaurants, a water park, golf, fishing and trendy shops and outlet malls. All units are non-smoking.

Unit #605 accommodates up to 6 people with a king, mattress replaced in November 2019, in the master bedroom 32' TV, 2 twin beds in the guest bedroom 20' TV, and a new queen size sleeper sofa in the living room 48' TV. This Destin vacation rental has been recently remodeled. The unit has tile throughout the living areas and new carpet in both bedrooms. The living room has a large flat screen TV & DVD player and new living room furniture. Both bedrooms have flat screen TVs and DVD players. The kitchen has been totally renovated with new cabinets, granite countertops, lighting and all stainless steel appliances. Master bath has double vanity sinks and both bathrooms have new cabinets and granite countertops. Fresh paint throughout the unit.

  We enjoyed our stay for Spring Break! The property was in a great location, the heated pool was the perfect temperature, and the beach service was a great perk! The unit itself could use some upgrades(like others have mentioned the showers are old), but it didn't bother us as we spent very little time indoors!

  Overall this is a nice place to stay. We stayed in the east wing and had a great view of the ocean. A very short walk to the beach and Bryson, the beach attendant, was very kind and helpful, always greeting us when we came down. My only complaint with the unit itself was the bathrooms. The vanities are all updated and nice; however, the tub/showers are old and have sliding glass doors on tracks that always look nasty, even if they are clean. Caulking was coming off down into the tub when we showered. The kitchen was well-stocked as far as dishes, silverware, pots and pans. Appliances all worked nicely. The sleeper sofa wasn't very comfortable to sit on and is a bit worn, but it wasn't a deal breaker. There were several outlets/ light switches that didn't work- I called about the outlet in the master bath not working (there was only one, which doesn't make sense in a double sink bathroom), and they sent someone up within a few hours to fix it- however there were several others that I didn't call about because we didn't NEED them. The unit itself was nicely furnished and decorated and we enjoyed it there.
  My biggest complaint about our stay was the weather- we were there for Spring Break and it never got much over 70 degrees and only had one sunny day- but that obviously isn't anyone's fault! I would stay here again, but would choose a different time of the year next time.

  Unit was on 6th floor of The Islander and had a great view of pool and gulf from the balcony. It was well furnished except for the couch and loveseat in living area which had had a lot of wear. Our only concern were the tub showers which were very old and slick with no grab bars. One had to step over a high side to get in. Kitchen was very nice.

Unit 605 has a lot going for it in terms of location. We found it clean when we arrived but there were a few small problems which were attended to promptly by the VERY able and obliging staff! We have reserved the same unit for this coming winter and we hope to be able to continue renting at The Islander for some years yet! Each year it's like coming home!

  One of the best times. My family has been meeting at Islander since 1996! Love the sugar white sands and blue gulf water. Excursion to Crab Island was a hit for the kids young and old. Enjoyed our game night and cooking on the grill night where family members had a chance to exhibit cooking talent.

  This is our third stay at the Islander. First stay in Unit 605. Let me start by saying the Management at the Islander is top notch. So friendly and helpful. The grounds are clean and we have never had any issues. That being said - upon arrival we noted the following: Cracked Mirror in the front room, Broken dresser drawer, broken closet door, dirty shower track. I immediately took pictures and reported it to the front desk. They were very accommodating and offered to send Maintenance up immediately to fix the issues. I did not feel that these things were make or break at the time and we would just deal with them during our stay. I did wipe down the shower track myself. Tub and shower were clean! Management appreciated the fact that I reported these issues. They hire out for cleaning and unless somebody reports the issues they may never know. What I do highly enjoy about the Islander is that the complex is small compared to other places. Beach service is included. I will definitely stay at the Islander again and highly recommend it. Looking forward to next year's stay.
