Welcome to Islander 415 - Emerald Sunset Beach Retreat

This comfortable, updated condo is located on Holiday Isle in Destin and boasts amazing views of colorful sunsets and fireworks. Just steps away from the pristine white sands of Destin Beach and within walking distance of the Jetty, O’Steen Beach and Norriego Point, the Islander offers all you are looking for in a vacation resort.

With 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, this condo sleeps six and feels like home away from home. The master has a king bed and in suite bath with walk-in shower and a 32” TV, the guest room has two twin beds, 18” TV and access to the hall bath with a tub, the pull out sofa in the living room sleeps two additional guests. A fully equipped kitchen offers the flexibility to make your own meals, a new in-unit washer and dryer makes a quick wash of bathing suits easy and the comfortable living space has a 52” TV, games and puzzles for you to enjoy if you happen to have a rainy day during your stay. The balcony beckons you to relax with your morning coffee or enjoy the sunset at the end of a fun day at the beach.

Whether you are planning a relaxing getaway or are joining in the hustle and bustle of Destin, this condo is for you! Enjoy the beautiful beach, identify a variety of marine life along the coast and jetty, grill on the patio under the gazebo, or take a dip in the two heated pools, and two hot tubs at the resort. As an added bonus, from March to October, the condo comes with the setup of two beach chairs and an umbrella and family activities at the resort and on the beach. If you are searching for a little more adventure, you may Uber, Water Taxi (requires a walk to Norriego Point), or take a short drive to Harborwalk Village and the many restaurants, bars, and shopping that Destin has to offer.

  We are so glad we chose to stay at The Islander. This was our first trip to Destin and first time at The Islander. I did a ton of research & couldn't have picked a better place. This unit was amazing - pristine clean, beautifully updated and had all the extras we needed. The views were amazing as well. Some things we really appreciated that weren't mentioned in the resort descriptions: They sell bags of ice at the front desk for $3. This was SO convenient! We were in Destin for our son's world series baseball tourney, so it came in handy for coolers but also was great for heading to the beach. We had a blender in our room and even tupperware bowls with lids - also great for packing snacks for the beach. There was a yoga mat and two small beach chairs. Plenty of towels and even a lounge chair on the balcony (along with a table and chairs). They had nice railings on the sides of the balcony which was great for hanging towels to dry, without making the place look trashy. We loved these little thoughtful things that made the unit even more functional. There were a couple of board games in the unit as well and plenty of bed linens. Everything was so great, staff was super friendly and our kids loved all the amenities - pools, tennis/basketball and we had so much fun playing shuffleboard. The gazebo/pavilion with grills was also beautiful - we hung out here with friends one night & they let our friends park in the lot when they came for dinner, no problem. Loved this location in Destin, it was convenient to everything including a Target across the street and the Mexican restaurant, La Paz, just down from the condo was good too. The beach chair service that was included was also so nice! If you want the front row closest to the water you'll need to get to the beach early in the morning but otherwise, we loved that you could show up any time of day and there were always chairs available. We will absolutely be back!Thank you for everything!

  Overall great unit to stay in, however few things were not so great. The floor in the living room and balcony had a lot of sand, thankfully there is a vacuum in the unit. Two remote controls for the ceiling fans were missing the batteries, I was promised that the maintenance guy would fix it but he never showed up, had to buy them myself. One evening gigantic cockroach showed up. The worst part is that no smoking policy is not enforced it all. Many people smoke on the balconies, which is prohibited, making the whole place stinky and flick cigarette buts on the cars parked below.

  We have stayed at the Islander every year for about 7 years now. This is the second time we’ve stayed in 415. It’s been well-maintained and very comfortable. The washer and dryer only work well if you do very small loads, but it’s a great convenience to have. For larger or multiple loads, the second floor laundry is better.

  I would definitely stay here again. GREAT LOCATION! No issues with parking. Plenty spaces were available. Plenty of comfortable condo for a family of 6. Very short walk to the beach. Very convenient having grocery carts to help with luggage & everything else you bring to stay in a condo. Everything we needed was in the condo. It rained due to a tropical storm-the condo had games to keep my kiddos occupied until the rain passed. There were 2 minor things: the washer wouldn't come on. I contacted management & it was taken care of same day. (It just needed to be reset nothing major) The condo was very clean. I did sweep everyday just to keep the floors clean throughout the stay. While sweeping, I swept up a few chunks of glass from the master bathroom. I'm not sure what it was from but we were barefoot & that was concerning if they we would have gotten glass in our feet. I didn't do a good sweep (just enough to keep the sand from getting everywhere) so I'm not sure how house keeping didn't get that from doing a thorough sweep & mop. AC worked GREAT! We really did enjoy our stay & would definitely recommend to anyone.

  We love Destin and the Islander! This was our first time renting unit 415, but we have stayed at the Islander several times. The only complaints with unit 415 were the dryer would not dry clothes without running it multiple times (small loads). The glass shower door in the master bathroom was broken. A plastic shower curtain has been hung as a solution. We will definitely be back and hopefully the owners will fix the issues for future renters.

  Vacation rental was perfect! We stayed a week & could not have been happier! This rental was clean & very well appointed with nice up to date furnishings & appliances. It was the perfect size for a family of 4 including 2 teenagers! Plenty of room for all of us to spread out & feel comfortable. Master bedroom had a view of the ocean & sunsets were spectacular! Location to beach was a quick easy walk & the beach attendants were awesome! We got provisions for breakfast & snacks & either did takeout or went out for dinners which worked well for us. Some restaurants were better than others regarding Covid precautions so we tended to go to more upscale restaurants to avoid bigger crowds & risk. Our favorite was Louisiana Lagniappe! Also loved the Island Wing Company for takeout & drinks at the bar while you wait! Overall a fantastic trip & beautiful property. Would definitely stay in this condo again & would absolutely recommend to others!

  Everything at the Islander, from check-in to check-out was extremely easy. There were no surprises and everything in the condo was exactly as shown online. The beds were comfortable and the tiled master bath shower was amazing. The pools were clean and heated :) The beach was just a three minute walk from our condo and you couldnt beat the free beach service (two chairs and an umbrella). My husband and I had an amazing time and cant wait to go back.

  Easy beach access, liked having two pools and hot tubs, clean place, staff was nice, liked having shopping carts available. Kitchen had good supplies. The only thing negative is the cleaning people must have overlooked a pair of earrings and a Pringles lid on the floor, but otherwise everything was very nice. I would stay here again. The beach accessible from the property is so pretty.

  My family and I vacationed over the 4th of July for the first time at The Islander in Destin. We reserved a "bronze" unit for one week. The location of The Islander is fantastic. We loved that it was just off the main highway, away from the congestion. It was just a short walk over to the beach. The umbrella and 2 chairs offered is great! We did have an issue where the ceiling began leaking in 2 places. We had to put buckets under it and walk down to Registration in the middle of the night on a holiday weekend. They were very responsive and found it to be the air conditioner in the above unit. There was a horrible smell in the twin bed room, and found it on day 3 to be a half gallon of rotten milk under the bed. Housekeeping came in to look for a lost bag and after my husband opened the door, she walked right into the bedroom where I was dressing. I was somewhat bothered that I was charged copy fees to print out our flight home boarding passes. Hannah at the front desk was great! She helped us with restaurant information, holiday information, and was so friendly. I would likely come back, mostly for location!
